Vickie and I attended the book fair for Books for St. Louis Kids, an organization that gives away new children's books to area kids. After local firefighters and police read to the children, the kids can take home books to begin their own library. We've donated a few dozen copies of our own books.

Maritz and Young was the dominant residential architectural firm in St. Louis during the 1920's and 1930's. They designed more than 100 homes in affluent neighborhoods for prominent citizens. "The Architecture of Maritz & Young" can be found at all online booksellers.

The inspiration for the cover art for our children's picture book "Lola van Gogh" came from a young girl dancing in a Paris fountain back in 2015. Her brother in the foreground of the photograph is Lola's brother Leo in the book.
