A picture of the Velociman and this accompanying text: This, well-known machine is still the only practical tricycle for those who are compelled to depend upon their arms for propelling power, and it can be easily driven at a speed of six to eight miles per hour. An adjustable foot support is placed in a convenient position, and special arrangements are made where alteration is necessary. The "Singer" double driving-gear is used, and a powerful band brake is fitted, which gives the rider full control of the machine when descending inclines. A comfortable cushioned rest is provided, which sustains pressure of the rider's back. The tricycle is steered by slightly moving the body, or by placing a hand on the rest. The "Velociman" has been made by us for over twenty-five years and has been revised from time to time; but we retain, and cannot improve upon, the arrangement by which both levers are pulled simultaneously as in rowing, which enables the rider to use all his power to the best advantage

Laced. Reusing an old but beautifully smooth Mavic front hub to replace very rough original.
20 inch wheel with black Islabikes rim, silver Mavic hub, black spokes and silver nipples. Looking through wheel there’s a Green Bosch power driver with adjustable spoke nipple tool next to a bowl white bowl sat on wheelchair behind wheel. Looking through valve hole at Mavic label stamped into silver hub.
