I don’t know, if your going to say something was released in 1969 then show the actual product that was released in 1969. Seems logical to me.

The Only Living Boy In New York

Narratively wonky. It could use some more Gilmour bangers. The good stuff is good, but too much forgettable fluff.

A band reaching the height of their confidence. A complete denunciation of the flower power movement.

Is it their best album? Possibly, but the first two are better song for song. This one is where mood and emotion take center stage. You can clearly see how Vedder took over the sole leadership role for better or worse depending on your point of view.

That leaves the Lizard.

I’d put The Yes Album and maybe Going For the One above Fragile

Close To the Edge was by far their best record. Fragile had too much solo noodling.
