Metal Box Rebuilt in Dub from the man himself and what a band he has together too 👌

Fiery red Acer at my parents’ place and golden Japanese Elm at ours. Soon be bare again but the colours everywhere right now are quite magical 😊

Our tree looked amazing a few days ago and it only occurred to me to take a photo today. Mad to think I put that in the car boot just a few years ago.

Needs to be far more widely known, especially before that by-election

Nabbed from Facebook, you're doing just fine Gary 👌😆

You can see the watermark but I'm not putting a credit or a link because most of the whoppers having a pop at him in there are the very same people Gary Neville criticised.

Look I know shoplifting from independent shops is very bad but I can't help thinking that this woman could have done with the crystal ball *before* she went shoplifting?

It's from the local rag and no credit required, because fuck them... 😆

Even in the post-war UK in the 1960s Oswald Mosley was knocked down as he attempted to sow his hate and division.
Farage got some milkshake on his suit last year and people yelled “waaah, where will this terrible violence end…” 🙄

Ultramarine and then Plaid tonight at the Castle and Falcon.
Many thanks to @seventhwavebham.bsky.social superb as always.
If you’re near Brum two more fantastic evenings of music Saturday and Sunday still to go 👌

This is about five miles from where I live if that, and the double irony is that they’re belted Galloways a traditional Scottish breed 🤯

Saw it yesterday and honestly thought it was a photoshop…

Slight disagreement at home on how many more days I should leave this in the fridge before it’s emptied into the bin. The biryani was beautiful mind 😄

I watched the final episode of This is England 1990 last night, what incredible TV 👌
Powerful, traumatic at times, but more often a reminder of who we are and how we got here. Released in 2015.

Come on Warp Films and Channel 4, get the funding together for This is England 2020! I miss them all.

Seems quite relevant today. Simpler times when we envied America for its constitution.

The midterms can’t come fast enough

See if you can spot the hidden cliff railway nestling in the valley here.

Vinyl signs 😱

Released 40 years ago today, how it all came about could fill a book. Soon forgotten at the time by all but a few. Always grateful for the love still out there though, what a difference (a mere) four decades makes 😄

I’ve been watching This is England 86 the past couple of evenings and forgot this was the series *no spoilers* with the dark reveal. Such important TV and as ever brilliantly written, cast, directed, what a team 👌

I hate Ch4’s looong ad breaks so swung for a £3.99 a month sub instead. They got me 😄

Missed the eclipse because of clouds (and probably trees anyway) so just got a photo of the just past full moon instead. Beautiful sight all the same, it'll be light tonight 🌕

This had been sat on the shelf for a few months and now the next two parts of the trilogy are on their way here in the post. I couldn’t wait to dive back in at every opportunity 👌

Godfather III on tonight so all three will be on iPlayer. I and II are so good but III is still worth a watch for me.

Niche fact, when Michael sees Apollonia and falls head over heels his bodyguards laugh and say “he’s been hit with a thunderbolt”, so there you go, the Italians have a word for it…

I watched The Man Who Fell to Earth right after reading Walter Tevis’s incredible book. Thoroughly enjoyed the film too and glad I watched it, despite the jar and expectation you get watching a film too soon after reading a book.

The book though, that would make for a long thread… another time 😄
