I've had soju (strawberry) a few times and..yeah that's pretty accurate. My sense of taste is super sensitive to some flavors so I tend to chalk it up to that!

The closest I've ever been to not being able to taste alcohol in a spirit was one specific raspberry schnapps mixed in lemonade.
