To be fair, I literally have an anthropology degree and was confused. Human tends to exclusively refer to Homo Sapien Sapiens, not Homo Sapien Neanderthalensis.

The use of the term Human was greatly confusing to me for much of the article. I kept waiting for them to explain how a human occupied site in Europe existed at that age at all. Neanderthal. They are referring to a Neanderthal site.

I agree with the sentiment but I hesitate at the Harpy imagery since that is usually reserved in derogatory manner towards women only. She can be an evil mouthpiece no matter her sex. Nitpicky, I know, im just super conscious of imagery furthering unintended bias. I just wanted to give it a pause.

Bluesky is still relatively egalitarian so it can bring people used to being elevated down to equal footing. That might be uncomfortable for someone who didn't want to believe they are primarily surrounded by yes men, manipulators and bots. He's smart, i hope he learns from this moment and grows. 🤷‍♀️

Simulation implies there's another, realer, reality that this one is simulating. I don't believe that part. But even a world imagined is real if nothing else exists. It would be a mistake to think there is anything else out there but the void, regardless.

I mean, I'm far from being a teen but in last few years I've had to cancel my subscriptions to the washington post, the NY times and now I can't trust CBS, or any news source that is paying dues to avoid being threatened by the administration. What other possible conclusions could any of us come to?
