If that's true, you haven't read NEARLY enough scifi.

Was trying, nostalgically, to get through a Piers Anthony series again. But I can't do it. I found myself dreading the next page.
Just terrible writing.

Switched to a Stephen King novel and the contrast is genuinely staggering. Just SO much better.
