On this day, December 4, 1969, Chicago Police, in coordination with the FBI, assassinated two young Black Panther leaders, Fred Hampton, 21, and Mark Clark, 22, in a predawn raid. When police discovered Hampton was wounded but not dead in his bed, they shot him twice in the head and killed him.
