"Meaning is not something out there waiting to be discovered, but something that we create in our own lives.' - Stephen fry.
They do put a lot of emphasis on working with UN, which needs reforming as much as NATO does.

We need closer defence ties with Europe and less reliance on US. The greens oddly enough are more likely to achieve that than traditional parties.

If it helps, this is green party policy on NATO

"The Green Party recognises that NATO has an important role in ensuring the ability of its member states to respond to threats to their security..."
A Fairer, Greener World - Green Party
Real hope.Real change. In a world threatened by war, climate breakdown and the rise of authoritarian regimes, the Green Party believes that the UK’s foreign policy should be based on shared commitment...

Well yes they could, and should.

but going on past record that means they'll carry on with doing the opposite.

Yep, but you could also argue this view of gender roles is much older and in west goes back at least to feudal syatem

I think it's more of a vote loser for gender critics than for progressives.

The vast majority of the public are either trans supporters or just don't care.

The cost of living is a much more important topic for general public.

Piers Morgan tried and Zak did an excellent job of responding calmly with a clear position. (The vid will be around somewhere).

Gender critics love to talk about biology but generally know very little about it beyond their view that biological sex is binary (which it isn't) and immutable (ditto)

You're gonna be unpopular. Be unpopular because you're fixing things, not because you aren't.

There's a group of what I call dinner party lefties who think they're much smarter than everyone else,
but they're not, and ultimately their egos get in the way.

To them solidarity means everyone should follow me, not let's work together.

Your Party is prime example of this.

Indeed. We found the money this way to bail out banks in 2008 and to support businesses in 2020, and didn't see the drastic effects that people claim would happen if we used this funding source to improve national infrastructure.

What bollocks. Most investment is from likes of pension companies anyway.

if ordinary people got paid more, they'd be more likely to invest some of their savings in stock market than billionaires would.

Trickle down is a lie, trickle up is how we used to do things.

Lots of other options.

3. Government can just spend more - comparing the economy to a household account is naive. The economy is circular, and the govt mostly borrows from itself.

4. Redistribute tax or spending.

5. Tax differently (eg tax wealth rather than transactions)

6. Issue govt bonds

Have you actually read the greens defence policies? I used to work in the defence sector and this was something that worried me before joining up. But on a world where the US is becoming an increasingly unreliable partner their policy of forming stronger ties with Europe absolutely makes sense.

It's amazing how many people who have tanked the economy studied PPE at Oxford.
Almost like the objective of the course is more about becoming part of the establishment and use that to your advantage rather than how to effectively run a country

I would add, a lot of people confuse confidence with intelligence and competence.
Happens all the time in business, it's confidence that sells, not ability.
