As I look at these pink cirrus cloud twisting against a blue sky, with the silhouettes of various trees, from bare oaks to full coniferous trees of some sort, I realize that maybe the destruction of the dept of Ed will bring the destruction of all college sports - a pipe dream I know. Probably better that people can run around, but what do I know I stopped going to the gym when I got the Physical Education Credit in the second half of ninth grade.

The grey Dopplegoose (stray) rests as it does most mornings (but not the past 3) in my neighbor’s shed. She is surrounded/camouflaged by junk and clutter but she is alive thank the stars.

Mushrooms and moss grow along the side of toppled tree, holes in the bark hide like caves on a mountainside, the moss covers the bark, a forest in itself. Spiraling strips of Birch(?) bark rest peel from the side of this fallen tree, the moss covered bark from the previous picture behind it - if this is in fact a birch tree, I wonder, how does one make birch beer? The collapsed birch(?) lays partially in the creek at its base. It reaches towards the camera, its sun covered spots soft with moss. Another branch grows upwards, unseen - growing and active despite its fallen status.

Sorry Jaden Smith, but I already did the Dress Up As A Building look for Halloween (2017) when I went as “The Ghost of Abraham Lincoln’s Son from George Saunder’s Lincoln In The Bardo”
Pre-transition Kes, her entire body trapped within a cardboard box, painted and styled to look like the Crypt of William Thos Carroll - atop the crypt is a small child (Lincoln’s son’s ghost) trapped beneath ethereal vines or something (I haven’t read the book in a while) the boy is a small child’s suit, which Kes’ head pokes through at the neckline to give the appearance of small child trapped to building.
