Just because I know not everything is meant to be a conspiracy, and I have been using their services for years now + non profit foundations have a basic principle of upholding their principles most of the time.

Doesn't matter who is behind when the federal government is represented, it will bear the consequences. Not trying to go into the conspirational field but firefox is not at mercy of google, but its a partnership.
February 19, 2025 at 2:08 AM
Well this coup is entirely a different point as it is threat by the federal government. We know that google has been the biggest contributor firefox for a while now but firefox remains better than google if not the best browser on the market, still strongly standing on their foundational values.

500m isnt a very big deal for google considering it keeps them from losing a lawsuit, you might have heard their recent one. Also since it is a non profit their influence won't be towards the extremes I might think.
February 13, 2025 at 1:26 PM
True, but it is still non-profit, focuses on user privacy, features addons like ublock and is overall way better. I think that google funds it mostly to show they are nurturing competition.

Firefox is better tbh.
February 13, 2025 at 12:35 PM
Lmao idk how this happened but its absolutely true, the new generation absolutely struggles with technology aside from the normalized social media apps.

Bro missed on an experience of a lifetime.

Tech was good when it was made for passion, not commercialisation.
February 7, 2025 at 3:05 PM
Oh im sure the republicans carefully analysed and voted for trump. This is just propaganda from democrats. /s
February 7, 2025 at 3:04 PM
I love how communicative EU really is. It is one of the core principles of the democracy we stand for.

The hurry in which they are developing Ai seems to have some motives not still quite understood by the masses.
February 7, 2025 at 1:35 AM
Bold of you to assume I can even think of myself positively even in such a negatively provoked thought.
February 5, 2025 at 10:09 AM
Hornet, yeah im not silksane.
February 4, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Ssd over hard drive.
February 4, 2025 at 5:37 PM
I think the algorithm listened to you, very well.
February 4, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Well, we can say capitalism has played a big part but I especially blame the specific sheer commercialisation of the internet that has been done in the past few years.
February 4, 2025 at 5:06 PM
Well, yes I agree with you on that part, but it doesn't help seeing how much of our technology was built on passion which has slowly been replaced by commercialisation.
February 4, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Thanks for the reply, I was confused because everyone had such mixed reviews for infinite.
February 4, 2025 at 4:48 PM
Is buying the bioshock games bundle worth it? I have been kinda on the edge for a while now.
February 4, 2025 at 4:46 PM
We don't know if ai or ar is truly beneficial right now considering they are super overvalued at the moment and mostly are being used to gather more data instead of being used for more useful applications like medical.
February 4, 2025 at 4:44 PM
I mean even if there is any scope left all the competitiveness is destroyed by the big tech companies.
February 4, 2025 at 4:41 PM
Yeah I mean no logging is not a bad thing in my opinion, I consider it kind of a feature with privacy concerned users.
February 4, 2025 at 4:37 PM
Is it just me or innovating in tech has seriously diminished in the last few years?
