I only know about Shaolei Ren et al's work from environmental social scientists on twitter & bsky. It's kind of eerie to me that the most accessible pages in google scholar don't have articles on the energy consumption, H2O consumption, & CO2 emission of genAI

Thank you! I'll put it in my reading list. I was also thinking of Audre Lorde's conceptualization of intimacy, which was beautifully cited in an article I read on asexuality in the Philippine diaspora.

4. Aside from major submissions, I will no longer require homeworks. I don't want my students to get burnt out. I also don't want to replicate harmful capitalist productivity conditions in the classroom.

3. I want to practice more neurodivergent-friendly pedagogical techniques. I've learned some techniques & pledge to learn more so that my classes become more conducive for everyone regardless of neurotype.

2. Removing feudal relationships. While I recognize the power I hold as "teacher", I hope to be able to shed more inequalities in my classroom. I want my students to understand that I don't hold the monopoly on knowledge & "correctness".

1. The classroom as a place for creation & co-creation. I want it to be a space where students & I, together, create ways of knowing & ways of being. I want them to explore their creativity & feel empowered to create.
