MAGA aren't republican, they are pro-monarchy, pro-oligarchy, and pro-autocracy. Supporting corruption and removing power from the people to concentrate it in the hands of a few wealthy and corporate entities and individuals is the opposite of republicanism. They are regressives.

Trumpers and Dems have long demanded a ban on congressional stock trading. Hawley finally introduced a bill — then was the only Republican on the committee to vote for it. Every Dem voted yes. Now, Trump is lashing out at Hawley because it would also prevent *him* from profiting off insider trading.
