Someone posted this flyer of an EDC party I attended in ATX. Weird how memory activates even years later when you see an artifact related to that memory.

A Cooper's Hawk that had been preying on three squirrels. For a couple of years these squirrels have been my photo subjects so I grew quite fond of them. It was by chance that I spied this hawk so I grabbed my camera to document.

I would've stopped the attack tbh but I only saw the aftereffects.

Screencap of a UA drone attack vid. This image will likely be used in a painting to illustrate the hoplessness of this situation.

The trench itself is already infamous for the sheer waste of lives involved in trying to cross the road that runs across it.

I just started watching Star Trek Strange New Worlds and it's great. Unfortunate that this year will be the final season. I was reluctant to watch it after I had such high hopes for Picard and Discovery but was severely disappointed. Better late than never I suppose. @cbsstudios.bsky.social

No fantasy sword collection can ever be complete without this majestic beast from 'The Sword and the Sorcerer' (1982).

First photo out of my A7IV with a Tamron 35-150mm. Subject wouldn't stay still.

Case in point, this photo was taken with the on-camera flash which really helped against the backlight of the shop in the background.

This week is going to need to end with a michelada.

One more hurdle to jump and it's not happening soon enough. Then we're in business... literally.

Success! I've photographed my first celestial object.

Would love for a remake of this film Killbots aka Chopping Mall. Not sure why it was renamed but I remember seeing the original a few times. Years later, I see it retitled as Chopping Mall with its length cut down.

I've been uploading some photos to Google Maps. A night walk on The Strand in Galveston, I took several photos which created a virtual map of my route.

I took much more than what's displayed here but I'm pacing myself doing 1 or 2 locations per day.

it would've turned out so well if I had raw formats to work with

"We All Wear the Mask, But How Long Will It Last" art mural in Houston's Theater District.

The mural is about access to clean water for all.

If you have an intern or work with an intern, trust their instincts and treat them as you would any regular member of the team.

Lots already do this, but the few might not recognize the untapped potential of these individuals. They are the key to understanding new markets.

I started thinking about Doctor Who @bbcdoctorwhom.bsky.social traveling through human history. One thing they seemed to have missed is fads.

There should be a fad where everyone decides to style unibrows in one of the timelines.

How I see things, isn't the same as someone else and that comes down to physical biology.

Question now becomes, do I color correct / adjust based on what I see or what a mass audience would want to see?

Shout out to PiXImperfect YT for helping me improve my editing.

I always learn something new and go apply it to photos. The image taken at 24th and The Strand in Galveston. Edited in LRC first then in Photoshop using gradient maps for shadows & highlights.

The @houstonzoo.bsky.social Zoo Lights attraction from 2024.

Finally got a chance to edit these photos I took last December. By far one of the best Christmas lights display I've ever seen.

I don't shoot too many portraits. In fact my latest attempt was the second one I've ever done with a model. I do have to say that out of the 191 photos I took, I got it down to 40, then down to 33 and out of that sete I've attached my favorite which gives off a "classic star" vibe imo.

Messer Chups is one of those new (to me), exciting bands that I wish I would have booked months ago if I didn't just discover them today!

Dick Dale would've appreciated their sound.
