Here he is with our girl Brigid who left as a year and a half ago. I’m sure she was waiting for him on the bridge, with a giant Thanksgiving turkey carcass. Food stealing knuckle-head that he was. The house is too quiet. 💔

She did. Sadly, she passed away a year ago this month. Cancer. She was only 8yo. A giant love. I live with my daughter, son in law and granddaughters and their dog Blue, so no more dogs for me for the first time in 40 years. I have a cat - Loretta. Adopted her 4 years ago. One-eyed pirate!

My day so far. Two folks, one running for School Board, who have said terrible things about my daughter when she ran 4 sb, just picked the wrong house. I said I knew who they were, what they believed, and btw, I’m Jillian’s mom. Uh, ah, uh huh, well you have a . . . I was already back in the house.

The fox had babies. Three! She brought them out tonight for the first time. My granddaughters are thrilled. They saw them first from the house window and started yelling for me. Nana, there’s babies! 🥰

Feed cleanser. Resident fox hanging out on the ridge behind our house. Usually see him or her around 6 in the evening when it’s getting ready for the nightly hunt, or to find a mate. Hope to see kits like we did last year. 5&7 yo granddaughters are very excited to see it.

AirBnB has decimated my area. Rental housing is at a premium and then some. Out of reach for the average income in my County. Our proximity to NYC doesn’t help. A very Blue area, mind you, so this is not a D vs R thing. It’s a greedy bastard vs the rest of us thing.
