I worked retail... The goop is probably the least of your concerns lol it's the shipping and the people handling that is the gross part lol the chemicals don't help though, you right.

This is what I'm saying! Why is it not common to wash your furniture? I don't understand. We wash literally everything else.

I also get this! I hate it! But unfortunately, they were right about a couple of them. And I defended one person for YEARS. I felt like an absolute idiot by the end of it. Friendship meant way more to me than it did to them. I even met and hung out with them multiple times. I felt so used. 🥺
