But I’m old and it’s been 100 years since I’ve done actual physics 😂. Also I am a fan of baseball but haven’t played myself. I’m assuming down on the field there is less wind velocity than up higher where the ball usually sails? I dunno. Basically I’m embarrassing my physics profs at this point 😅

Ooo as an engineer and a baseball fan, this is fun to think about. My guess is wind does not make a big difference. The relative short distance from the mound to the batter and the low height of the ball during the pitch would mitigate the impact of wind in the stadium.
