It isn't affording. It is apparently scheduling he is having trouble with.

Here is Cyrus demonstrating his impeccable sleep posture.

I'm jealous. I only get a couple figs per year from mine for some mysterious reason.

There is a group of giant wooden trolls in Maine that was neat to run into.

That was me this morning. She just wanted to go out and sit. And because she has a bandage, she needs to be closely supervised when not wearing her cone, so I got to sit with her.

If you want to tell the goats to get down, then you can climb up there yourself to do it.

Here is Artemis, peacefully dreaming of chasing rabbits without a care in the world.

I found a giant spider on one of my walks.
October 21, 2024 at 11:31 PM
Artemis is 12 now, but she still enjoys hour long walks. Of course, now maybe 45 minutes of it involves resting in various parks, but that still counts as being on a walk.

That one was definitely young. A few days earlier, I spotted a larger one in the fig as well. The fig is popular with possums.
July 27, 2024 at 4:06 AM
How many do you actually get? I've gotten 4 this year, with the squirrels/bird/possums having gotten at least a couple dozen.
July 26, 2024 at 11:07 PM
Artemis could be a florist. Not so good at arranging them, but she can quite photogenically model in front of the flowers to get attention.
July 26, 2024 at 12:02 AM
Artemis has been wearing her face leash for almost 12 years now, and while she is resigned to it she still dislikes getting it put on. Too bad when she smells something interesting, her brain entirely shuts down to anything else, so I can't trust her without it.

Artemis was her usual entirely dignified and regal self. She didn't seem to care at all about the eclipse.

Dallas: 30 minutes before totality, 5 minutes before totality, and two during totality. We got incredibly lucky to have several gaps during totality. All pictures taken with my phone camera.

I tried to put some on Artemis, but she wouldn't cooperate. She was unimpressed by safety considerations.

@darthbluesky.bsky.social Artemis decided to demonstrate what a collapsing dog looks like on our walk.

Not sure why, but the image seems to be cut off to me.

It used to be much better, but now it is rapidly degrading as services proliferate. Honestly, I think this meme kind of describes where it is going. Too fragmented of a streaming ecosystem makes the experience so much worse.

My dog roasts herself in the sun too (though mostly she sticks to the grass in the backyard). I actually bought an IR thermometer to figure out how hot she gets. That picture is after ~5 minutes in 107 F heat. She slowly rotates for 10 minutes to get an even bake before she comes in.

It wasn't flagged when I first saw the post but it was flagged when I refreshed (~1 minute later). All filters are set to warn.

I've been having to get Artemis out for her morning walk really early with the current temperatures, but I've also gotten a lot of good pictures. Most involving her tongue being in weird places, because it does that.

I guess I should post some content seeing as I have now joined Bluesky. So have a couple of my favorite recent pictures of my dog, a beach sunset picture that I really liked, and a cute spider picture that I took a while back.
