It's Mauritz's favourite time of the year, Brown Ale season!

Overall the beer presents as warm, round, nutty and lightly toasty, with caramel and dried fruits. Then tending towards citrus before the lingering edges of the smoked malt round things out.

This Wednesday at our Spa Road Venue we will be launching our Wet Hop - Bitter, 4.4%

Using Primma Donna (First Gold) from Brixton Beer Co, Grow Beer and Challenger from Hukins Hops, this is a traditional light English Bitter.

The Wet Hop - Bitter will be available in cask only.

It’s a clean, gorgeous, dark lager with a traditional rich, round malt character. Perfect for the colder days and longer nights.

Jammy, a bit dank with flavours of grape and clementine. Pithy, bold with a nice bitterness

To celebrate Brew #3000 (in this location), we’ve riffed on Brew #2 – IPA SCCANS.

We’ve brewed SCCANS a few times, but never as a Pale Ale.

It's light & fresh, led by bright Nelson Sauvin. With floral notes, a spritzy sherbet texture and a clean mineral finish.

New this week is our Grisette - Talus 4.2%.
It's light, herbal + citrusy, with a touch of saison spice and phenolic notes.

The Nelson Sauvin 4.9% version is also available — the hops have mellowed, but the overall flavour has depended

New IPA: HBC 1019 – 7%

Brewed with our friends from @yakimachief.bsky.social using a hop they're backing for the future. Tropical, soft vanilla, stone fruit, pine, citrus. Punchy and expressive.

This version hits hard with juicy apricot flavours, nice bright carbonation and sharp acidity.

This week we’re highlighting two bretted beers: Brett Pils Motueka, 4.8% & Brett Pale Mosaic, Wai-iti, 4.6% — in bottles & kegs.

Both are fermented with Brettanomyces for subtle funk, fruit, and complexity.

We’ve been exploring Krush in 3 new beers: a Pale, an IPA, and a cask-only Spring Pale.

Same hop, different expressions.
The Pale: papaya, guava and key lime pie.

The IPA: pineapple, stone fruit & green mango.

The Spring Pale keeps things light, bright.

This one’s worth a look.
