The doctor's lounge has the finest in meals. Grateful for anything at this point in the day, but it's a fair distance so I brought back a bit extra. Obligatory turkey sandwich featured.

I only had 20 minutes to enjoy, but the restaurants along the airport were very busy, so I went into the Delta Skylounge. Their tomato bisque did not disappoint.

Today, I decided to revise my knowledge on Diverticulitis. Not everyone with diverticulitis needs antibiotic therapy.

Seems like this guy is kind of popular in some crowds. I found a couple of pictures today as it seems like it was an occasion here. Good to see that he actually has proper hunting attire from last year’s duck hunt in Ohio. I listened to a couple of his songs. He’s no M&M or Spring Roll.

He did not accept my invitation for supper. Eating alone again. I spent all day yesterday simmering this pork.

There is not evidenced based medicine on whether to taper vs just discontinuing a PPI after 8 weeks trial. It’s more of a discussion to be had with your patients. There are too many people taking PPIs long term. It’s time to have those conversations.

Fidaxomicin is crazy expensive. However, it may be more beneficial to prevent reoccurrence of infection.

I was feeling extra guilty for doing nothing all day, so I reviewed my knowledge of C. difficile colitis. Thank goodness the treatment of this has changed since I started treating it. Now if only the medication was affordable. Article had noted in 2017, there were over 20,500 deaths in US from such

I was feeling guilty for doing diddly squat today other than set up some meat in a marinade, so I made myself do some CME on a very common problem I treat every week. Now if we could only get the meds approved and a Medicare payment for cardiac rehab for HFpEF!
