Primal instinct/the idea of unrestrained action is fantasy attractive. That's one half monster love. Robot love relates to 'I can fix him', (make him human), which monster love can also be. It tickles the same fancy as 'bad boys' do. (Which are both, 'bad/naughty behavior' and 'I can fix him').
