Interesting… I thought the LFP’s were becoming more common due to their higher range

Do we know what makes it faster charging? Is it simply because it is an LFP?

Not sure what west can do to compete with BYD. Their dominance is accelerating. I think they will have to let BYD produce in the west like Toyota back in the day

I have not met anyone that drove an EV and wanted to go back. 👍🏼

That would be great!

There are two ways of lithium extraction currently, based on the deposit type. Brine, that needs evaporation ponds (not ideal for enviro reasons). You see that in Nevada and South America. Hard rock lithium is basic mining, and processing recycles the water, which is the type we have in Canada

I will check it out for sure. Would be good to learn from your experience. What I know is that has been changing rapidly. O was shocked to hear from a FN group 5 years ago that the mining occurrence their territory without any consultation on the 90’s. Very very different now. Would love to chat

That might have been the case in the past. My experience has been very different. Government only gives guidance on which FN groups to consult with. Often, mining companies go above and beyond that and engage before stepping into their territory for prospecting. That’s basic respect, often happens
November 27, 2024 at 10:24 PM
That is not true. If the FN are not consulted, you cannot explore, let alone mine! You have no idea how things work. If you need facts for your book, happy to help

How does it damage the groundwater exactly? Lithium is found in pegmatites in Ontario, which have no deleterious minerals in them?

Not sure where you get your facts from. Can you define what you mean by “destructive”? It is not even close to being destructive
