Finally got my hands on a Dark Lilac Safari (woo) and more importantly some cartridges of the ink. I've been wanting to test the versions for ages, now to get time to do the pic in my mind :)

Think they've said they're going one day a week- unsure whether it's tues or weds. There's a fab looking pub in the arts centre (that was shut on day I went :() and a wonderful pen and ink online shop that delivers locally if needed....

I've always found the Skater a wonderful painting (wasn't aware there's a discussion about who painted it, interesting) and loved seeing it up close...

Also seemed to start a small trend of taking a photo of the brush marks with three people doing it after I did :)

Haven't bought the new #Sakura pads yet... (really want the pad + Blackwing box - but last FE teacher payrise 14 years ago* = sigh).

Aaaanyhow took my Sakura pads to say hi to the blossom on display :)

*2% rise 18 months ago admittedly.

Credit where due... Have occasionally looked at Blackwing pencils and thought 'that's just a very expensive pencil... '

Then picked up the @moleskine.bsky.social Blackwing set for a good price and that pencil is killer. So much fun to use.
