I feel once you're at Microsoft's size, the income/expenses don't matter anymore, it's stock price. Doesn't matter if consumers don't buy the product, just lay off a few teams to cover the loss. They get their bonus as long as stock price goes up. Are people really paying $30/mth for Copilot 365?

I totally believe it. They're some new "Page Upgrades" thing they're pushing which is $16/day. It gives you the ability to...show your logo and photos and remove competitors from your page. For almost $500 a month...

Substack is a site where writers can post longform content behind a paywall. The site was hosting many Nazis who were making money. After some public uproar, the CEO refused to remove those writers from the platform or deactivate their ability to receive money through the system, citing free speech.

My old college had MANY issues with this.

They had:
1: Multi-million dollar drug bust from a frat.
2: Another frat gangr***ing a female student at a party.
3: Another frat destroying cabins at a state park with a minor charge.

Only after the drug bust did they "pause" greek life for just 1 year.

I sooooo wish personal websites could be (somewhat) popular again. I loved Tumblr for over a decade but it fell into the same monetization trap and restrictive customization.
