Can you tell me why that’s so remarkable?

I’m failing to follow your logic that renaming the park isn’t anti-Semitic given the current Israeli government’s strategy in Gaza. Would you please explain further

For your eyes only May be my favorite Bond film

I just keep reminding myself that a majority of his presidency is over

I appreciate this reference

That's good but why haven't we seen the same calls at the college protests?
May 9, 2024 at 11:04 PM
Can you show any cases of anti-Zionist protests calling for the release of all the hostages?
May 9, 2024 at 10:56 PM
So you’re telling me that you’ll rally faculty and stand in front of the police to defend students calling for the elimination of affirmative action and DEI departments?
May 1, 2024 at 5:15 PM
Of course not. It’s about graduation. The university isn’t going to let anything get in the way of that.
May 1, 2024 at 2:32 AM
I did but it doesn’t really answer my question. What obligations do these teachers have for their students who are ostracized by the protestors?
April 30, 2024 at 7:41 PM
If you want students and faculty to stand together then don’t you need a message everyone can get behind and not one that alienates a historically discriminated group?
April 30, 2024 at 7:23 PM
What do accept as evidence? Is chanting “A Free Palestine from the river to the sea” enough?
April 28, 2024 at 1:31 AM
Are you saying an institution might not be disingenuous about its explanation for a controversial decision?
April 16, 2024 at 6:49 PM
Bart Ehrman is an expert on the New Testament and holds an endowed chair in religious studies at Duke but I'm sure you know more than him.

My argument is that the Jewish desire to rule their indigenous land predates Zionism. As evidence, look at all the false Messiahs.
April 16, 2024 at 2:53 PM
That’s how Christians now interpret it but the historical Jesus was talking about an earthly kingdom that he would rule as the Messiah.
April 16, 2024 at 2:52 PM
Okay, I got it. You just spout anti-Zionist talking points and don’t know anything about the situation. BTW, Israel was founded as a left-wing state. Time for you to read some books.
April 16, 2024 at 2:20 PM
Your argument is that since the Mishnah was only collated in the second century that Jews don’t have any identity as an indigenous population in historical Israel?
April 16, 2024 at 2:11 PM
Christianity became popular because it rejected Judaism. You might want to read what a guy called Paul said about that.
So your argument is that if enough Native Americans act like Europeans then the US can abolish reservations?
April 16, 2024 at 1:59 PM
Okay, I’m going to start ignoring you because it’s clear that you don’t know anything about Judaism.
April 16, 2024 at 1:53 PM
So you acknowledge that the idea of a Jewish state has been a part of Judaism for over two thousand years.
April 16, 2024 at 1:52 PM
Not in the modern sense, but yes, he was trying to build a Jewish state. What else do you think he meant when he talked about the kingdom of heaven?
April 16, 2024 at 1:50 PM
First, that’s not true. There were false Messiahs who attempted to reestablish Israel.
Second, do you have an evidence that diaspora Jews rejected the establishment of a Jewish state?
Third, you’re ignoring the systematic oppression of Jews by Muslims and Christians that prevented them doing so.
