Our fourth annual scary story contest at #kenyon #kenyoncollege is upon us! Time now to #shareascare if you’re a Kenyon student!

Today, continuing our theme, we’re sharing who a writing center helps. We’ll meet your accommodation needs, support you when you’re stressing, and get excited with you as you brainstorm #kenyoncollege #writingcenter

The image shares what a writing center does, which includes: We will often do some combination of the following: Ask what you want to work on Advise you on what to change (and explain why) Read your work out loud so we can hear as well as see areas of concern Address higher-order concerns first (those areas which impact your grade most). This image shares some of the things our writing center doesn’t do, including: We will not do the following: Write your paper or presentation for you. Work on your paper or presentation without you present (you MUST actively attend the session in person or online; we are not a place where you drop off your work and pick it up later). Give you a grade or advocate to your professor for you to earn a certain grade.
