My uncle, Harry Kenyon, lieutenant in the 513th PIR, battlefield promotion to captain, 17th Airborne. The regiment had heavy casualties, Harry got hit in the shoulder, was still wearing a bandage when he parachuted into Germany 3 months later in Operation Varsity, shot and killed that day.

Nice article. Trying ChatGPT out this year. Most useful: creating source citations, feedback on essays, getting unstuck, creating summaries, books for grandkids. Not useful: when it creates “new facts” in its writing suggestions, ok if I were interested in historical fiction, not genealogy :-)
