#WaterfallWednesday. This is Ribbon Falls, just below Black Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park on 30 September of this year. This place haunts my dreams. #RMNP

I’m trying desperately to get that image of the East Wing of the White House being demolished out of my head. Here’s a little clip of Ribbon Falls just below Black Lake in #RMNP. I was lucky to visit a couple of weeks ago.

The world is one messed up place right now, but I am determined to find peace and joy in the natural world. I took this photo in #RMNP in late September. This is Bear Lake.

When I’m in RMNP, I love to see mule deer. At home in Kentucky, I love the white tail deer that come through every day.

Please support Ned Pillersdorf, Democratic candidate for Kentucky’s 5th District. He is our best shot in a long time to replace Hal Rogers. nedforcongress.com

Look at the cool t-shirt I picked up at the #NoKingsRally in Morehead, Ky. I spoke with a local pediatrician who said that 70 percent of her patients are covered by Medicaid.

Somehow, this album got me through the Covid lockdown. I love Johnny Winter, but Rick Derringer's songwriting, background vocals, and guitar work added a ton to this band. And their live album has always been one of my favorites. RIP Rick Derringer.

North Bridge in Concord, MA. This shot was taken last October from the grounds of the Old Manse. The bridge was closed for repairs. This is where it all began 250 years ago today. #NoKings

Things are bad. But cat friends are good. That’s Casper, who led most of his life outside until recently. Now he has people and a home. #CatsofBluesky

Not the biggest #HandsOff rally, but it’s still impressive on a rainy Saturday in deep-red Eastern Kentucky. This is the busiest intersection in town, so a lot of people saw us. We got a few middle fingers, but we got a lot more thumbs up! Morehead, Kentucky.

Here’s a decaying pine in the national forest not too far from my house. Photo was taken in December.

Who would have thought that Alexander Pope's _The Dunciad_ would be so relevant to the U.S. in the twenty-first century? The poem describes the ultimate triumph of Dulness [Pope's spelling], which might also be termed Stupidity or Imbecility. "And universal Darkness buries All."
