My wife is literally in the room next to the one I’m in

I should probably acknowledge somewhere that I am Captain von Trapp and I am grateful that my wife is such a good Maria to our daughter.

My daughter trash talking a bug in the bathroom: “oh yeah, I know you think you’re up high, but my father is tall enough to still get you. Just wait until I tell him you’re in here!”

I’m wrapping presents for the in-laws while my wife and daughter decorate, sing, dance, and fill our home with the sounds of family and Christmas. The decorations are beautiful but their shared laughter is just my absolute favorite sound.
