Ken goes a wee bit overboard, example 26,629: Claudio Abbado's complete recordings with Deutsche Grammophon and Decca, totaling 257 CDs and 8 DVDs.

I'm not right in the head.

A very light #CDfriday: Max Richter, which was a Christmas present from a couple of friends; a Jansons/Oslo Phil Mahler 3, which I bought two copies of, one for me and one for the friends who gave me the Richter one.

For 12 days straight I've watched Wagner operas. Now, at last, comes the 13th and final day. I don't think I've heard anything from this before.

Day 12: Meistersinger. I've heard the overture, but know little else about it.

I've now come to the "easy" part of my Wagner marathon. I've watched the Ring a few times over the last three-four years, and know it fairly well by now, though I'm certainly no expert. Of the three Ring cycles I have on video, I've chosen Stefan Herheim' 2021 cycle from Berlin for my marathon.

Day six of my Wagner marathon. I've heard one or two "orchestral highlights" from this, but other than that, I am, once again, a blank slate. Happy Festivus, everybody!

Today's Wagnerstravaganza is about to begin. The overture has been a constant earworm today. Really excited to finally hear the rest of the opera.

Last book haul of the year, clearly showing where my interests currently lie.

Today's Wagner. I've heard the overture from this one!
