Kemkaran believes the UK is 'quite far down the road' to 'some big civil disturbance' but doesn't want to use the term 'civil war' because 'it's a frightening phrase.'

Kemkaran describes people 'inside and outside' County Hall of expecting them to be neo-Nazis with horns and a tail, and that there was a 'huge sigh of relief' when they turned out to be 'normal.'

In it, Kemkaran stops short of calling on former Reform councillor Daniel Taylor of Cliftonville to resign. Taylor is currently on bail ahead of trial next month after being charged with making threats to kill his wife.

Setting up the Kent Current was a bit of a punt for us. We're familiar with local news, but covering an entire county was a daunting prospect. We're still learning and figuring out what this thing looks like, but we've been so grateful for the response so far.
