"i did this with my own hands" is an expression for "I'm the one to blame for this". Idk if this saying translates well into english

I did this with my own hands by not working on the presentation in time but it's eatin me up man

I'm not against it or anything, just curious. If that's the case i might start using it in that manner.
For now I'm just a lurker/subscriber

Update: I finished it! And my coordinator gave me the okay to send it! 😎
I must mention this is not the actual presentation but the text describing it that i needed to write to apply in the first place.
