The storefront next door is currently being gutted. We've been emptying it out slowly to make room for some bathrooms!

We now have doors AND windows. It lets a lot of light into the front foyer and lobby! This way, people can see work getting done as they pass by. If you're ever in the area, don't be afraid to ask for a tour!

Bill's our hero. He cut out this slab of concrete to make it that much easier to move things into the basement. Thanks, Bill! #diy #restoration

Looks like we aren't the only ones who got a new mural! Check out the rare "Kenosha Kraken," done by Leeanna Chipana, on the back of Modern Apothecary, just down the street from the Theater! #kenosha #downtown

Heart-warming post from kenoshatoday on Instagram. Not only does Jeff keep the Restoration Project going strong, but he's also the best landlord. Thanks for all the hard work, and continuing to stand strong through these hard times!

A fairly common occurrence we need to deal with - graffiti! Thankfully, we have what we need to take care of it, thanks to donations from supporters of the restoration. #diy #restoration

Nearly 100 years ago, people would go in and out of these aisles between movies and shows. Now we go in and out of them to try and get this Theater restored, and up and running again!

In this spot nearly 100 years ago, there were seats that people filled! 2300 seats, in fact. (the average movie theater today has about 150 per screen)

Help us get those seats back in here by supporting the Kenosha Theater Restoration! kenoshatheatre.org

In this spot nearly 100 years ago, theater-goers could view some coming attractions in the lobby. It's hard to tell with the black and white, but we're not doing too shabby restoring the lobby 🥰

In this spot 100 years ago, the projector booth was filled with, well. Projectors! The Kenosha Theater also had a Vitaphone system, which made movies with sound possible. It was one of the first movie theaters to do it!

In this spot nearly 100 ago, people ascended the steps to the Kenosha Theater's balcony.

💡Did you know? These steps are at an incline, using forced perspective to make the view of the stage feel all the more grandiose!
