Right, but so many websites need to be updated. The majority still require you to add each part of your full address. Obviously, you can store all that in your phone so it defaults, but shouldn’t be required in the first place.

Right, but I said the exceptions need to be coded. Also, it would be simple for a system to know what zip codes fit a standard mode and which are exceptions and need to be redirected to get extra information. This is basic tech. Lazy not to do it right. (Also, I can only talk for my general area)

I get it, but these are “edge” cases. I would guess that 98 or 99 percent of American addresses would fit a standard mode, i.e., if you give a zip code then it should know the city or visa versa. The edge cases need to be coded but we should be building for the 99 pct and not the 1.

Exactly. Drives me nuts when a website asks for my city but doesn’t automatically know the state and zip code. Obvious answer is to ask for zip code and let the code fill out the rest.
