Win11 forced on people, then the ram prices go up, then Sata Drives getting discontinued, I can see where this is goin. They don't want you to build a PC to rip VHS tapes digitally. This is a targeted attack against weirdos who watch anime on Laserdisc SPECIFICALLY, & I don't like it.

Japan's obsession with not pirating anime is cute. They'll have "showings" where they say "Come to this ballroom. We'll watch .hack on DVD" just because there's no Blu-Ray yet. Obviously the sane option would be to just download it, but there's a community aspect I really respect

Told someone I saw a movie on "Apple TV", & pointed at one of these. People tend to get filtered by my humor. I'll say one thing & they'll slowly go insane as I gaslight them with dad jokes. I just want the world to be full of fun & whimsy, is that so much to ask? (Nintendo Make these for real)

The amount of people who have opinions on anime they have never seen is staggering. I understand it's easier to put trust in another person, but I don't like that we're normalizing offloading opinions onto other people. Watch a bad anime on purpose one day. You might be surprised

Being a retro anime fan with a platform is rough, because I don't wanna be that guy who goes "all modern anime is bad", & then I try to watch some new stuff & it's machine translated Isekai/D&D parodies that are so bland I forget what all the characters names are.

Had someone ask me "How do you find interesting anime?", & that's the most 2025 question ever. I find interesting anime by being into things that look INTERESTING. You gotta think for yourself. You can't just ask someone else how to acquire your own taste.

Here's a lost anime you're probably never gonna see. "Santa Kuro Santa" [さんた黒さんた」by Hiroyuki Kitazume. It was a Student Film, so unless there's a surviving reel out there it's likely gone forever. If anyone has additional info please share it.
