Simply adore the colour of Arabian Night dahlia, all the moreso as I thought I had lost it during last winter.

Today's dander was a much calmer affair. Very pleasant indeed.

A pre-dinner refreshing dander along the lough shore. Cobwebs truly blown away.

Been a great year for cherry tomatoes. A further batch plucked from, by now, sad looking plants.

Rain soaked, miserable day.
Have to bake fadge bread.

Sit awhile and rest my weary bones.

For tonight's dinner and tomorrow's Irish stew, dug these Kerr's Pinks up at the allotment this evening, quickly between the showers.
Some are scabby and there's signs of blight in discarded tubers alas.
Autumn is certainly here.

'Tis the season of mellow fruitfulness.
Plenty more blueberries still on the bush, no idea what to do with these ones.
The cherry tomatoes will be turned into sauce. There's another batch near ripe on the vine, hopefully they'll ripen over the next few days.

Lunchtime serenity, walking pitstop.

Very fair point Alex. Every countries experience is unique, and yet it isn't, there's distinct common threads. Ours is a rather prolonged one, our closeness and interconnections, provides a rich seam for contention.
Rodger Casement life story is interesting.
Anyhow, here's a timeline cleanser.

After his spinal injury our wee darling is learning to walk properly again.

It's all just butterflies on late summers' air.

The wee mite is having a well earned rest after his 'walk', using the hind leg harness, a great yoke it is.
Slowly progressing and gaining more function.

The wee monster, a spaniel without the spring, relaxing on his new orthopaedic bed post physio assessment.

An accidental confluence of colour. A tea break garden view.
August 12, 2025 at 2:28 PM
Our wee man has been in the wars. Last Friday he suffered an injury to his spine, causing paralysis to his hind legs & loss of control over bowels

Has slowly regained use of legs, moreso right than left, can stand and walk, if drunkenly at times. Toileting no longer an issue

Tail wagged throughout

Rain interrupted today's dander, honest, so had to take refuge in the cafe.
Room with a view.

The thought projection 'I want' death stare.

The new Penstemon addition, Penshan Just Jayne, starting to show it's true colours.

I do love a deep colour, tho I had expected deeper from this variety.
Said to be less hardy than most penstemon. 🌱

An ever attentive, pushy, spaniel tried to get into the picture.

One eye on the tennis, one eye on the view.

I do so the lavender hedge at this time of year.

Perfect weather for the Rose's. Lovely perfume from this one, doing not too bad despite getting sun for only part of the day.
