I had a gastroscopy a couple months ago. All I had to pay was $80 (after rebates) for the anaesthesia and i was good to go!

I'm glad you're enjoying your time here! I find that the frames portion is the most stressful part because if you're at the end of your benefits an extra set of frames still faces the luxxotica tax. But otherwise I get my medical needs met quickly and efficiently.

I work in tech and we do have AI stuff in it. BUT, the actual nuts and bolts that does the work? It's machine learning - it's literally analysing numbers and going "that's bad, send a notif" I hate how everything is just called AI when it's clear there are flavours of this stuff.

This feels like a mildly deserved loss. lol.

I think art style makes a game last forever vs technical fidelity. I think technical fidelity is good. But games from the 90s - 00s weren't relying on fidelity to carry them.

I think that's neat. But I think if you play things as they were intended, a game should be able to stand on it's own two feet. Gameplay, art style, fun. That's why FF12 still feels really fresh because the art doesn't drag. PE doesn't drag because it's still a really engaging game.

A bit of polish, a little bit of clarity. Maybe a transition to 2.5HD. But the essence is there. The sauce is there.

What does that make something like ff7 or parasite eve then? The equivalent of pong? I played chrono trigger this year and I didn't want a remaster or anything. Crazy.

I think if the main unifying factor is a corpse run and you lose resources on death. Then everything else is fair game. Nioh behaves almost like a fighting game and while it's a little bit BS sometimes with fights. Victory always looks in sight.

I don't remember seeing it in fallen order BUT it's only a thing you access in Jedi Survivor NG+ - But you also get a party mode lightsaber. Do what that info as you will lol.

I don't remember if the first one had perks that you can place difficulty mods on yourself (like Hades) but there is a perk that makes the lightsaber behave like a real lightsaber. One hit kills, increased exp gain, but enemies also fight realistically, meaning you also die in one hit.

I think this is why the patientgamers subreddit exists. Whether it's time, money or state of the product. I haven't played anything at launch, I got a free code for MHWilds when I bought my graphics card and I was like, this isn't bad, but it's not as finished compared to Rise.

When you get to the second game he feels more robust and more refined. But I think the lightsaber feeling like a glowing club rather than a beam of plasma does a lot to the game feel.

Jedi Survivor has a weird problem with attack tracking for enemies. What feels like should miss kinda locks in on you. I think I'm mildly allergic to open world games because I spent so much time looking for collectibles instead of actually just completing the story.

At the height of GoT popularity, I was reading the books so I could get ahead of the story. When I would get to events like the Red Wedding, I was thinking "I wonder what that looks like on the show" and it was way worse than I had in my head. I think the anticipation does more than the actual thing

So if I don't access it via big picture it won't detect my controller? Cool, I'll try it again in BP mode. :)
November 17, 2025 at 2:09 AM
It feels correct. But is it controller supportable? Trying to play on steam and it won't register my controller. Happy to be MnK but still. I think my biggest difficulty is vision. Sometimes I can't tell when I'm about to be hit.

I just finished Yakuza 1 and I'm going to start 2 after a break. All I know is somewhere in Yakuza it involves secret koreans. But I'm not going to verify what or when that happens. Like unless you're playing something tomorrow. I don't think it matters that much.

To be clear I'm not in favour of games releasing in bad states. I'm just saying, buying a game at launch and playing it 6months to a year later can be different. It's a very different space to shipping a game and having it be "done" regardless of something like balance or stability.
November 13, 2025 at 12:01 PM
THAT DOESNT MAKE IT OK. THIS IS ALL A COMMENTARY ON HOW GAMES GET RELEASED NOW AND CAN BE UPDATED TO MAKE EXPERIENCES AT LAUNCH DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT. SEE NO MANS SKY. WHICH ALSO ISNT OK BUT IT IS A STORY OF HOW A GAME CAN CHANGE FOR THE POSITIVE.

If we take Stardew Valley for example - that game is complete. But ConcernedApe just wants to add stuff because he wants to improve his vision of the game. He's obviously not Owlcat and could walk away whenever. But that's a 2016 game, that's still getting QoL shit.
