Father, husband, progressive change-maker. Proudly serving as Occoquan District Supervisor on the Prince William Board of County Supervisors since 2020.
Some in Congress are trying to trade away reproductive rights to keep Obamacare funded.

That’s not governing, that’s hostage politics.

I know how hard this shutdown already is for federal workers and contractors here in Northern Virginia.

Federal politics get the headlines, but it's local government that shapes your daily life. What's one local issue you wish more people understood?

At a time when Democrats are still trying to find their rudder and their captain, this man took to the Senate to speak for over a day. He broke a record previously held by a segregationist.

We have no perfect heroes right now, but bless those who give us hope all the same.

An oligarch who has successfully bought the most powerful political position in the world for a convicted felon wonders why people may not want to bring children into the world he is destroying.

On Thursday we cut the ribbon on the new Express Lanes at at Opitz Boulevard and on Friday we cut the ribbon on the Potomac Neabsco Garage right next door, the county's first publicly-operated parking garage.

We're making big strides in transforming our community into a multi-modal one!

In Prince William County, where I live, there also appeared to be a lurch to the right from the electorate, but again it's a shift in who showed (or didn't show) up vs. the actual partisan persuasion of our community.

The most densely populated localities in Virginia still had a massive influence on the results of the election, but the vote margins were much closer because less Democrats showed up. Look at the Tim Kaine advantage in 2018 vs Kamala Harris in 2024, as another example.

The data out now shows that there wasn't some massive Biden-Trump voter defection that took place this year in the Commonwealth. A lot of Democratic voters who showed up in 2020 to support Biden/fire Trump did not show back up this year to elect Kamala/keep Trump out for good.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of articles flying around trying to explain what happened in this year's elections. Some headlines would have you believe in a shift to the right. The reality is - at least in Virginia - it's a regression of voter participation rather than political ideology.
