Finished drawing all the new characters for the BAN-IINKAI update! Even with lots of copy & paste, that’s 14 in total… it was tough! Next, I’ll start making expression variations and adding them into the game!

I’ve been drawing new characters every day for an upcoming update of BAN-IINKAI, now available on itch.io!
This time it’s a Cooking Club member and an ASE-GAKU cheerleader. They only appear briefly, but I drew them anyway…

(Sakata no Kintoki — also known as “Kintarō” — is a legendary child hero in Japan, famous for his superhuman strength and friendship with animals. He later became a warrior under Minamoto no Yorimitsu.)

Finished a new character — Urashima the old man, who appears only on the final day. He was tough to draw, and I even forgot to take any WIP screenshots... His name comes from Urashima Tarō, a famous Japanese folktale about a young man who saves a turtle and ends up traveling through time.

『番-委員会』に立ち絵を追加する作業をしているのですが、問題はこのフキダシマークの移動です。
現状ではフキダシの移動幅はテキストウィンドウの幅に制約されていて、そのせいで立ち絵は同時に三枚しか出せません。
さて立ち絵が増えた時にどう対処していくか……悶々としながらとりあえず描いていきます。

I thought I was seeing things… but the official Inkscape account liked my post!? Thank you! All my game graphics—except free backgrounds—were made entirely with Inkscape. I probably wouldn’t have started making games without it. Thanks for such an amazing tool!

“Tachikawa Bunko” was the most popular “kōdan-bon” series of the time, featuring ninjas like “Sarutobi Sasuke,” “Kirigakure Saizō,” and “Ishikawa Goemon.” But as children’s stories, they lacked depth or romance, making them rather immature as film material.

“Sarutobi Sasuke” is a famous ninja. First appearing in a 1913 “Tachikawa Bunko” story, he was trained by “Tozawa Hakūnsai,” founder of “Kōga-ryū,” and served “Sanada Yukimura” as a master of ninja arts.

歯車はメニューボタンで、セーブやロード、設定の呼び出しなどのメニューが表示されます。

I’m really bad at drawing, so I can’t handle raster images that can’t be fixed later. That’s why all my game graphics were made in Inkscape. Well… they still look pretty bad, though.

My game was made with TyranoScript, an HTML5 engine for visual novels. It has more issues than Nscripter—especially async errors. I’ve fixed most, but some may remain. Please let me know if you find any.
