There are 2 parent-litigants. BOTH litigants have the right to have their concerns properly considered and properly evaluated. In ALL cases of court-involved custody conflict, a proper risk assessment for child abuse is needed to the appropriate differential diagnoses for each parent.

The authors of Kayden's Law are keeping secrets from you and from legislators in order to manipulate the legislators to mandate court decisions in favor of borderline and Vulnerable Dark Triad parent.

Kayden's Law PREVENTS by statute the protection of children from Child Psychological Abuse.

We should be educating everyone everywhere about the pathology and issues in the family courts.

I propose a 2-hour moderated online Debate series: 90-min content; 30-min Q&A.

I'm in. Identify the date, time and other party. I believe these Debates should be sponsored by the AFCC or the Bar Assn.

Debate: Does the Pathology of Parent-Child Contact Problems Exist?

These Debates would highlight issues for attorneys, judges, MH professionals, and parents.

All mental health professionals have a duty to protect.

The pathology in the family courts is the psychological abuse of the child - and the spousal abuse of the targeted parent using the child as the spousal abuse weapon.

There are 2 duties to protect - there are 2 victims of abuse.

Forensic custody evaluations rely on constructs of "dubious validity" that generate "defective reports" with "potentially disastrous consequences for parents and children" in the family courts.

Forensic custody evaluations need to be entirely eliminated from the family courts.

There is no defined pathology in clinical psychology called "parental alienation" - this is a euphemism for child abuse of a made-up pathology label that HIDES the child abuse from view, HIDES the child abuse from the Court's understanding, and PREVENTS effective treatment for the child abuse.

All mental health professionals have a duty to protect.

In all cases of court-involved custody conflict involving severe attachment pathology (a child rejecting a parent), a proper risk assessment for child abuse needs to be conducted to the appropriate differential diagnoses for each parent.

All.

In family court custody conflict, the child is being "triangulated" into the spousal conflict through a "cross-generational coalition" with one parent against the other, resulting in an "emotional cutoff" in the child's attachment bond to the other parent.

There are forensic psychologists with names in positions of power who are intentionally disabling the mental health system response to the pathology in the family courts for their personal financial and career status gain.

Forensic custody evaluations need to be eliminated from the family courts.

Throughout healthcare, diagnosis guides treatment, the tx for cancer is different than for diabetes.

You have a problem. You need to fix your problem. To fix your problem you'll need a treatment plan. For that, you'll need a diagnosis.

Start with the DSM-5 for the diagnosis.

Divorce is a family transition from an intact family structure to a new separated family. Normal-range parents make this transition successfully - pathological parents do not.

A question for the Court's is: Which parent is more likely to lead the family into a healthy separated family structure?

Forensic custody evaluations are a failed experiment in service delivery to a vulnerable population.

The NY Blue Ribbon Commission found them to be "harmful to children" and to "lack scientific or legal value" - and that they should be entirely eliminated from the family courts.

I fully agree.

Failure to conduct a proper risk assessment for a dangerous pathology (suicide, homicide, abuse) when a risk assessment is warranted by the symptoms and context, may represent a negligent failure in duty to protect obligations.

In the absence of child abuse, parents have the right to parent according to their cultural, personal, and religious values.

In the absence of child abuse, each parent should have as much time and involvement with the child as possible.

The relevant question is - is there child abuse?
