Don’t hate Miliband but after the announcement the gov was changing its mind of regional pricing for electricity id be lying if I said my opinion of him didn’t shift massively to the negative.

“Wes Streeting is so weird.” More accurate. He’s been talking about issues of racism in the NHS forgetting that him and his ilk have been ceding ground to reform for months now.

Welcome to a not insignificant part of my life. We used to have adviser only lines in the CAB (from both Gov dpts and private business like electricity etc) Sadly most are gone now. I assume the logic was that if a CAB adviser is calling, they have run through the simple fixes to the problem.

Unsure why the Public Order Act 1936 doesn't kick in here (banned the wearing of political uniforms in any public place or public meeting.) It has been used against miners striking and Sinn Fein (if I'm not misremembering.)

The Tories have definitely reached the stage where taking the piss out of them is achievable by simply repeating their own words with no additional commentary. They are an autoparodying party.

While the Reform polling is terrifying, it's good to see LDs and Greens breaking through in England. Finally breaking the stranglehold of the big two.

This is a good thing, don't get me wrong, but the talk of adjusting it, keeping it in some silly wee way to save what is relativity speaking for a country with our wealth, pennies, is daft and immoral.

My one grandparent from Glasgow was telling me about moving out here in the 60s and how she felt it was so poor and alien. The alien I get, different language, traditions etc. The poor though always confused me as Glasgow was pretty rough too. (that or Na h-Eileanan Siar was somehow worse)
