Increasing states' share of administrative costs -on top of expensive-to-administer paperwork requirements and benefit cost shifting- would cost states billions of dollars each year. These extra costs strain state budgets and would ultimately lead to fewer people getting food assistance

Our report shows that the earnings of women living in poverty are crucial for their families' budgets. With women's earnings holding up their families and the economy, it's regressive that the "pro-family" party plans to make massive cuts to health care and food assistance for low-income families.
