As a Yankees and Mariners fan who followed Cano throughout his career and wanted him to be one of the greats, I have to say this is just sad. These hits don't count. No doubt there are good teams and talent in the Mexican league. But this all still makes me sad for what could have been.

Not to be a wet blanket, but they do make commemorative replica balls with team signatures like that and have for years. May not be that, but don't take the mortgage out on that new yacht just yet. Good luck!

Jeff if you are a baseball guy I live in Coeur d'Alene. We could take in a minor league game on Spokane. High A team for the Colorado Rockies and this is opening weekend.

I was there during the death penalty. Freshman year we were 18th in the country at one point. Sophomore year homecoming was a soccer game. I'm still glad I didn't opt for the liberal arts transfer portal back then.

And don't even get me started on Sandusky. They harbored a pedophile. We just paid players before it was cool. Not that I'm bitter about anything.

As a proud alum of SMU who is now proudly underwriting BSU for one graduate child and two current student children, I resent your pointing out the obvious.

The BBC is much more serious about actual news than modern American entertainment "news" sources. Sad.

There's also the Thomas Jefferson version where he redacted a whole bunch of things. If this is America can't we use that one?

Me too. I demand the Catholic Bible, particularly the Douay-Rheims version. I talked to a Protestant neighbor who refuses to support that one because they want Wycliffe's Bible. Another neighbor wants only the Deuterocanonical books to be included for the Old Testament. This should go smoothly...

There have been good seasonal ski swaps in Bonner county fairgrounds and Kootenai county fairgrounds. But - it's been years since I checked on them and am not sure of the timelines. The one in Sandpoint was sponsored by Schweitzer Alpine Racing School (I think that is the name but could be "area")

Probably 100% overshadowing. He wants and needs chaos. The rest of the world needs to keep going.

I'm originally from New York, so if you are missing any of those old feelings I can oblige (though you seem quite accomplished from your writings...).

That could describe every losing campaign in history, really.

Utterly brilliant, perfect timing, and the class laughed and applauded him. Then he went on to the lecture topic. Best lesson in hitting a matter head on that I've ever had. RIP Senator Tower.

to the lectern: "I apologize for missing so many classes this semester. As you may have read I've been out boozing and womanizing."

After he was rejected by the Senate he returned to his adjunct teaching role at SMU where I was one of his students. We were all slightly on edge as to how he would be when he returned to the classroom. He taught me more about politics and self-deprecation in the first words he said upon returning
