Social justice won't be achieved through laws, institutions, or by an enlightened few. We "the great mass of the people" must together develop a genuine sense of "responsibility" (implying an obligation to take action), with accountability for one another's wellbeing, not just sympathy or concern.

I still think this idea (offered months ago) would have been a grand idea... if Pete wanted to do it. It may be that he didn't want to be in the midst of the fight. He'd be an excellent spokesperson, and the Democrats need that!!!
