Oh yeah, it’s a thing. A large part of the MAGA zeitgeist is that the deep state is full of pedophiles, all Democrats, who run child sex rings and are protected by the Democratic deep state. You will never convince them otherwise.

I agree with the commissioner, once they’re dead they no longer pose a threat to the integrity of the game. I’ve long thought there should be a scumbag wing of the hall for racists, wife beaters and various other scum who happened to have historically great baseball success.
