They've made a big comeback in Toronto. I was gazing at one on the shore of Lake Ontario and an elderly lady asked me how big they were relative to a Great Blue Heron. A moment later a GBH landed beside the egret. I said, "well, you can see that the great blue is a noticeably larger bird".

Why isn't the Globe hammering PP on this? It's absolutely appalling that someone running for PM would openly say such a thing. Indeed a great many things PP says are appalling yet the Globe gives him a pass on all of it. Why? My subscription to the Globe is hanging in the balance of the answer.

The Globe editorial staff is ignoring PPs statements on "woke science" as a great example of how dangerous this guy is. In the US thos meant cancelling HIV research, removal of "woke" terms from science like "bias" and "gender", and cancellation of large portions of funding for climate science.
