So...the uh, dumpster fire that was formerly known as twitter has officially gone down the shitter. I've added as many of you lovely survivors as I can from my porcelain throne of solitude. If I've missed anyone please just say hi on this and I'll add you on my next bowl evacuation.

A magazine asked Ursula to write about a book that changed her life. "A book? One book?" she wrote on her blog.

As Bill Bryson says:

"Scheele was both an extraordinary and an extraordinarily luckless fellow. A humble pharmacist with little...advanced apparatus, he discovered 8 elements - chlorine, fluorine, manganese, barium, molybdenum, tungsten, nitrogen & oxygen - and got credit for none of them.”

Yes yes Robert Redford buttered everyone's muffins, I get it, but he also played this guy in the film. There is hope for us all.

Had I known A Walk in the Woods w/Robert Redford was based on a Bill Bryson book I would have watched it years ago

Picked this up Goodwill a while ago. Though almost 30 y/o it was beautifully written, full of humor and history. Definitely recommend it. A Goodwill drawback though, I was extremely allergic to the book, and couldn’t wipe off whatever was getting to me. Previous owner must have been a cat. #booksky
