A friend posted on another social media site that the way in which so many troops were "walking" instead of "marching" in Saturday's DC parade was a deliberate act of protest and defiance. Can anyone confirm this? If so, God bless them!

What a joy to read this! Martha and Tammy were friends back in our Chicago Days. Thank you to Heartland Presbytery for this wonderful act of justice and reconciliation!

Revs. Martha Juillerat and Tammy Lindahl lost their ordinations after coming out in the 1990s. Now, the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. has restored Juillerat's credentials.

I am very concerned about Senator Mike Lee's proposed bill to define and ban pornography.  The language is very subjective, with ill-defined terminology reflecting particular faith-based assumptions.  Such legislation could be easily mis-used against the LGBTQ+ community, Trans, Feminists, etc.

I'm a Progressive Christian who doesn't believe in things like the Rapture. But I often find myself wishing that those who DO would get what they so want! Both sides would be so much happier if they were gone and we were left behind to get on with following Jesus in our way....

Today marks 100 days since Trump took office for the second time.

From day one, religious leaders and faith communities have demonstrated moral clarity in this current moment of crisis.

We are just getting started.

Though not perfect - none of us is - imo our brother Francis was the best Pope since John XXIII. This old Protestant gives thanks for his ministry (to the very end) and prays that his spirit rests well in God's light and eternal peace.

Since the 4th century C.E., at least, the Paschal Feast of Easter has typically been celebrated in the context of Empire. But the original happened in the context of Cosmos and Counter-culture, offering existential hope and encouragement in life-affirming resistance. Alleluia! May it be so!
