Computer stimulation of a rapidly rotating neutron star, specifically a pulsar with its accretion disk and rotating x-ray beam(s). The star is light blue, the accretion disk deep and deeper orange, and the x-rays a hazy white.

There were several proposed seals and three committees...
The first proposed Great Sea for the United States, designed by Pierre Eugène du Simitière and submitted to the Continental Congress on August 20, 1776 and promptly rejected. Notably the symbols for England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany, and Holland –a rose, thustle, harp, e fleur-de-lis, red rampant lion, and double-headed eagle, respectively.
