We are cruel because we have no excuse to be cruel yet we seem to revel in it. That makes it voluntary. We can’t say well at least they were fighting for THOSE people, we fight for no one but the rich at the expense of everyone else. It’s a terrible look and we deserve it to be seen for what it is.

This is critical because if the Marines are operating with guidance that explicitly contradicts PCA, those are unlawful orders and need to be challenged through the chain of command. DOJ lawyers acknowledge in their briefs that PCA is still in effect; this should be straightforward. 2/
